Broome’s Favourite Restaurant

SOLD August 2016

Rare opportunity to take ownership of Broome’s most favourite restaurant.  But don’t just take our word for it….view the trip advisor reviews.  The business has earned an excellent reputation both amongst the locals and with tourists visiting Broome, with many making it a yearly ritual to return to the restaurant on their annual holiday.

Land of Pharaohs, Egyptian Kebab House was established in 2005 and has grown into a much loved eatery with fantastic food, great service and an atmosphere that’s second to none.   Entering the restaurant is like stepping into another world with the decor carefully curated by the owners giving you an authentic middle eastern dining experience.

The furniture has been handmade by the owner (husband) from recycled timber and the walls have been decorated with life sized photos taken by the owner (wife).  There is also imported jewellery, papyrus, lamps, water pipes and carpets.  There are chess sets available to the tables to encourage diners to stay and play awhile.

The owners make fresh meat spits of beef, lamb and chicken daily on the premises, prepares fresh salads and homemade sauces, provides a vegetarian option with falafel and even serves Egyptian curries on the weekends.

The restaurant has the ability to trade 7 days a week and has the opportunity to extend the evening hours as currently the owners prefer to close at 8:30pm and only trade Sundays through the peak season.  The owners have also opted to close the restaurant for 8-10 weeks every year around Christmas, so there is the opportunity to increase the already impressive sales by changing this policy.  This business generates significantly high gross margins.
